‘Tis the Season
It’s that time of year. Spent a little time decorting the house for the holiday season today. Christmas tree is up and the decorations are starting to fill our home. Took a quick picture during the process to share with everyone.
Getting the shutter bug again, finally!
No commentsHappy Thanksgiving!
The wife and I spent a portion of our Thanksgiving weekend in Whistler with friends. It was a little colder than we had expected but overall it was a terrific weekend. We brought our bikes up and took a little ride around the area, managed to also snap a couple of pictures. Overall I only took maybe 15 pics the entire weekend, pretty sad right?
Trying to start a new hobby, kind of odd because I barley have enough time for the ones I’ve already started!
Sea to Sky? Also known as the “Golf to Ski”
No commentsMore Maui pictures
Every time I browse through our Maui pictures I find something else I love. The trip was truly a photographers dream, amazing sunsets, lush forests, blue ocean, what more can you ask for? Seeing the pictures really takes me back, counting down the days until the next trip…
As a I mentioned in my previous posts, I got lightbox working. If you want to see the pictures in a bigger size, click on them. Should pop up with a much bigger version of the photo.
Many roads on the island look just like this, a natural tunnel of trees!
These are the rocks that line the black sand beach. Nothing like I’ve ever seen, its almost like the entire beach was made of coals! (LOL)
Our last few nights were spent lounging on this very hammock, nothing like some dinner, wine and a nice relaxing swing.
If I had to single out one experience as the best of our Maui trip, this would be it! The entrance to the Bamboo forest, and yeah, the forest really is that thick!
The black sand beach, feels like sand, looks like sand but its black! We didn’t go for a swim as there were roughly 4+ signs advising not too! (strong current, sharks…)
1 commentPublished! kind of…
I received notice today that one of my photos was used in the fifth edition of Schmap Vancouver. I’ve never heard of it but from what I’ve seen it looks to be a map system with infromation on the areas you’re looking for, basically a tourist guide. Either way, one my Steveston pictures was used.
Have a look…
They do also offer an iPhone version… Link to iPhone Schmap
In case you where curious, this was the photo…
No commentsRecent visit to Pender Island…
Again it’s been a while since I last posted some pictures. I’ve been lazy recently and haven’t taken many pictures, hopefully thats now going to change… Not much to report back from the recent trip out to Pender Island, I only took a few pictures and spent the rest of the time relaxing!
Decided to try something a little different, playing around with photoshop and “photo filters” this time around, let me know what you think of the latest “creation”.
After a few suggestions (thanks Mike) I got lightbox working, have a click on the photos below to see how it works. I’ve only done the three below, not sure if I’ll go back and do the rest…

As promised!
Looking at the blog it’s been a while since I lasted posted… In my defense, I was busy getting married! All the pictures posted here are from our honeymoon in Maui. This was our first trip and it definitely will not be our last, I now understand why everyone speaks so highly of Hawaii. It’s absolutely amazing.
Enjoy the pictures and please leave comments.

Home from Maui
I just got home from Maui this morning and will be uploading some pictures shortly!
I attatched a couple of shots I got with the camera phone as a teaser…
No commentsFirst day of summer
Although the official first day of summer is only days away today felt like it arrived a little early. Absolutely amazing weather drew us out of the house and into the park. This is my first visit to Bear Creek park with the camera and I was not left disappointed. Have a look below and let me know what you think of this photo shoot. I had a good time and hopefully you enjoy the pictures.

Is it picture time yet?
It’s been a while since I’ve actually gone out and taken pictures and I’m getting a little restless. The wife to be and I where out at a reception in Deep Cove and this opportunity came up. I only had her Canon SD630 with me but it always amazes me how good the pictures come out. Absolutely amazing spot, I’ll make another trip out in the near future to take more pictures of the area.
Here’s a couple for you to enjoy,

Thinking of Tofino
Looking at the banner picture made me think of our trip to Tofino last January (wow, that’s 5 months ago). Such an amazing spot, if you haven’t been you really need to take a trip. Over our 3 day stay we where “lucky” enough to have all sunny days. Ironic because we actually went storm watching and ended up with clear blue skies. Here’s a few of my favorite pictures from Tofino.
